The family had lived for years in a kitchen based on the concept that one person is ‘stuck’ in a corner while other functions of living should be divided as well. No longer, the modern concept that space can be seen AND used at the same time is alive and well. The small non-usable U shaped workspace was demolished, windows on the outside wall were reconfigured for a more symmetrical layout, walls between living and dining rooms opened up and this kitchen was reborn. The homeowner, owner and manager of multiple high visibility restaurants, can now come home to a classic looking, functioning space that works for anyone.
